VERY HARD TO CANCEL MEMBERSHIP

Tried to go online to cancel but they need my dog-tag ID. Don't have that anymore. So that method is useless. Called the number and after a lengthy spiel, was told by recording that they are open during the daytime hours Central time. Called back the next day but kept getting busy signal. Still waiting for a clear line to speak someone later.

I want to know why the stuff in my locker was thrown away during the period of time the gym was shutdown due to covid-19. There was no warning, not even an email communicating the gyms closure. Upon my return all of my belongings in the locker had been disposed of. I understand during normal operation there is a policy that the locker cleaning will occur but this situation was unique and out of my control as far as the ability to remove my belongings. Additionally the attitude of the staff in Fairfax Va was horrible and they did not care and just referred to a piece of paper on the wall as the policy.

Preferred solution: Either pay the value of the items that were disposed during a time when the policy should have not been enforced to a pandemic and or provde me x months in memebrship in lieu of.

User's recommendation: Provide an opportunity and communications to customer to inform them of what will occur during a situation like this.

I have been a member for at least 5 yrs, maybe 10. It used to be a decent place to work out with towels and working equipment. Now, there are no towels, much of the equipment is broken in one way or another, and it is extremely dirty. The last straw was when I went to take a shower and found a used tampon on the floor. There has been a dried white puddle of something on the locker room bench which has been there for over two weeks. Dried leaves and bugs are in the self spa / tanning rooms. Getting a treadmill for treadmill fitness is like playing Russian Roulette, you have to go through a few that don't turn on, won't incline etc. I wrote and cancelled my membership.

Got charged 2x this month for membership and one of the charges was labeled as in store purchase when I NEVER bought anything in store... Both charges happened to be same exact price (very fishy). Also tried to downgrade my membership, and they charged me $78 for initiated fee even though I have already been a member with them for the last 10 years.... I tried calling the location I go to, and they said I had to talk with customer service and I have been waiting on the phone for someone to answer the last 3 days for HOURS then I end up getting booted off the line...

Mask requirements

I havent been to the gym since the pandemic. I went last Saturday and today. Today no temperatures were even taken When I walked up 75% percent of the members had no masks on. Also a member was FaceTiming right next to me.i said to him you are not supposed to video,take photos etc. He looked at me like I was from Mars and continued doing it.I brought to the attention of a Xsport associate and he ask me if he was still here. But I dont know if he knew what I meant it was close to closing. By the way he didnt have a mask on either.

No communication - can't get through to customer service to resolve since March 2020

Asked for a refund of membership and PT from February to current due to Government shut down of gym. Sent Federal Express package with letter asking for refund for both and still can't get through to anyone with a refund. I prepaid two years of membership and want a refund of 25 sessions of prepaid personal training.
